Mr. Esan Pilai
Principal Lawyer
Mr. Pilai is a highly experienced, well-respected, and talented lawyer with decades of experience helping both clients and other lawyers. He’s a Legal Practitioner of the Supreme Court of Victoria and High Court of Australia with relevant credentials and qualifications to conduct legal counsel in the entire country. More specifically, Mr. Pilai has valuable experience as Solicitor-Advocate in a variety of criminal matters in addition to intervention orders and motor vehicle offences.
Drawing upon his decades of experience and legal expertise, Mr. Pilai has helped numerous clients succeed in their cases. He’s won challenging cases in numerous court systems including the State and Federal jurisdiction of Victoria, New South Wales, the Queensland Magistrates’ and Children’s Courts, the Victorian County Court Sentencing Appeals and Criminal Trials, and Supreme Court Bail Appeal Matters. At the short time I have been at Jay & Co Barristers and Solicitors, I have had the priviledge of appearing for a range of summary offence matters to instructing on indictable matters. With the guidance of the firm’s principal lawyer Mr. Esan Pilai, I have been successful in getting the best outcomes for our clients. I generally appear at the Dandenong and Frankston Magistrates’ Court for summary offences relating to thefts, assaults, recklessy causing serious injury, possession of drug and depedence. I have also appeared for IVO matters for both the applicant and respondent. I also instruct on indictable offences at the County Court. Lastly, I have been lucky enough to appear for sentence appeals at County Court.

I recently completed a double degree comprised of a Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Politics and International Relations with a minor in Philosophy.
